Research project
I am broadly interested in the history of science/knowledge in eighteenth-century Europe. More specifically, I study the theory and practice of selective animal (including human) breeding in Britain and France during this period. By looking at this topic, I wish to approach questions concerning the relationship between agricultural practical knowledge, natural history theories of generation/reproduction and projets for improving humans and animals through artificial selection in the age of Enlightenment.
Next International meeting I will attend
ESHS Young Scholar Conference, September 2019
