Italian Society for the History of Mathematics (SISM)
The Italian Society of the History of Mathematics was founded in November 2000, with the aim of stimulating research and studies in the field of the history of mathematical sciences, and promoting the dissemination of historical mathematical culture, through information on conferences, seminars and all sector initiatives, meetings between members and the dissemination of publications and research products. The SISM organizes a national conference every year, collaborates with other institutions in its activities and editorial projects concerning the history of mathematics in Italy, supports its reference journal, establishes awards for young researchers, and is involved with teacher training.
