GEWINA is the Belgian-Dutch Association for Science and University History, founded in 1913. It unites almost 400 researchers and liefhebbers interested in the history of the sciences, medicine, and universities in the broadest sense.
GEWINA publishes the international, peer reviewed and open access Journal for the History of Knowledge and the popular science magazine Wonderkamer. The society organises regular meetings and excursions for both enthusiasts and professional researchers. Once every two years, GEWINA organises an international conference at Woudschoten in the Netherlands
