Research project
I mainly focus on astronomical and mathematical texts from the southern Indian region of Kerala. While many treatises and manuals have been studied in detail, the link between such texts and their products, i.e. calendars and horoscopes are uncertain. My project is to study a corpus of calendars and find out which texts had been used for creating them. This in turn will provide insight into the popularity and propagation of astronomical texts.
